Georgia Procurement Registry: How to Find and Win Georgia Government Bids

The Georgia Procurement Registry, run by Georgia DOAS, lists state and local bids. The Georgia Procurement Registry (GPR) is a free website where Georgia state agencies, local governments and school systems advertise bid opportunities. It’s run by the Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS). Anyone can search it, but to bid on state contracts you also need to register as a supplier.

Step 1: Search the Georgia Procurement Registry

Search open opportunities by keyword, category, agency or closing date. Because both state and local buyers post there, one search covers many agencies.

Step 2: Register in Team Georgia Marketplace

To do business with the State of Georgia, register as a bidder in Team Georgia Marketplace (TGM), the state’s supplier portal (DOAS supplier registration). Enter your business, contact and tax information.

Step 3: Add your NIGP codes

TGM sends bid notices based on the NIGP codes in your profile. Choose every code that describes your goods and services, and review them regularly.

Step 4: Respond before the deadline

State bids run through Team Georgia Marketplace and eSource. Read the full solicitation, submit questions by the stated deadline, and submit a complete response on time. TGM is unavailable briefly on Monday mornings (5:00–5:30 a.m.) for maintenance, so don’t leave submission to the last minute.

Don’t stop at the state level

• City of Atlanta, Hartsfield-Jackson and MARTA have their own vendor registration
• Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb and Gwinnett counties each run their own procurement portals
• Federal buyers in Georgia (CDC, military bases such as Fort Benning, Fort Stewart and Robins AFB) require SAM.gov registration
• GDOT DBE certification for transportation work, now under the new U.S. DOT rules

Common Georgia Procurement Registry mistakes

1. Searching the GPR but never registering in Team Georgia Marketplace
2. Too few NIGP codes, and missed notices
3. Missing the question deadline inside the solicitation
4. Ignoring city, county and federal buyers
