Global Economic Research Consulting (“GERC”, “we”, “us”) operates this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Information you give us
When you submit a form on this site, you give us your name, your email address and the message you write. When you book a consultation through our scheduling link, our scheduling provider collects the name, email address and any details you enter.
If you respond to one of our advertisements on Facebook or Instagram and complete a form inside those apps, Meta passes us the contact details you submit — typically your name, email address and phone number — along with your answers to any questions on that form. We use this information to send you the material you requested and to follow up about our services.
Information collected automatically
This site uses Jetpack Stats to record aggregate visit data such as pages viewed, referring site, approximate location and browser type.
We also use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API. These record actions you take on this site — such as viewing a page, submitting a form or booking a consultation — and send that information to Meta so that we can measure whether our advertising works and show relevant ads to people who have visited this site. Some of this information is sent from your browser and some is sent from our server. Cookies may also be set by WordPress and by our security plugin to keep the site working and secure.
Advertising
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. We may create audiences on those platforms based on people who have visited this site or contacted us, and we may upload contact information we already hold so that Meta can match it against its own records to build similar audiences. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, this kind of activity may be treated as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money.
You can limit this. Your browser and device settings let you block or delete cookies, and Meta provides ad preference controls inside Facebook and Instagram. You may also email us at the address below and ask us to stop using your information for advertising, and we will.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to reply to enquiries, to send material you have asked for, to prepare registrations, proposals and applications where you engage us, to market our services, and to keep the business records we are required to keep.
When we share information
We share your information only where it is necessary to deliver something you have asked for — for example, submitting a vendor registration to a government system on your instruction — where it supports the advertising and measurement described above, or where the law requires it. Our website host, email provider, scheduling provider and advertising platforms process data on our behalf in order to run those services. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions and advertising enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and to keep a record of the enquiry. We keep client project records for as long as our professional and legal obligations require.
Your rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request that we delete it, to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below and we will respond.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
