LA County Vendor Registration
Los Angeles County buys more than most states. You cannot be paid by it until you are registered in its own system.

- Los Angeles County
Los Angeles County is a buyer the size of a small country, purchasing across health services, public works, parks, probation, internal services and dozens of other departments. Its vendor system is separate from the State of California's and separate again from the City of Los Angeles.
What registration involves
- Registering in the county's vendor system with accurate entity details
- Selecting commodity and service codes that match what you actually sell
- Applying for county certification programmes where you qualify
- Keeping insurance and licence documentation current in the profile
The part people miss
Registration is not one list. The county, the City of Los Angeles, LA Metro, the school and community college districts and the smaller cities each maintain their own vendor systems, and being in one does not put you in another. If you want to sell across the region, you register across the region — which is exactly what Phase 2 of our programme covers.

Questions
What people ask about LA County.
Is county registration the same as state registration?
No. Cal eProcure is the state's system. LA County runs its own, and so do the cities and districts inside it.
How long does it take?
Usually days to a few weeks, depending on how quickly documentation clears.
Do I need certification as well as registration?
Registration lets you be paid. Certification helps you be selected, where the county has participation goals.
Can you register me with several agencies at once?
Yes — that's Phase 2, which covers 10 to 15 priority agencies including cities, districts and transit.
What about LA Metro?
Metro runs its own registration and SBE certification. It is a separate application and we handle it.
